Leadership Development

The next level
has moved.

We know where it went.

For people, and for the organizations they carry. Machines moved it. The work that used to prove a leader is being absorbed — and what is left above the line is judgment, trust, presence, and the capacity to build other people. For fourteen years we have taken leaders to the next level.

The Consortium for Leadership Development

The Promise

Do you know what the next level looks like?

Fourteen years ago we asked that question, and we answered it: we take leaders to the next level and beyond, at a more rapid pace. We delivered it — from St. Louis classrooms to cohorts in Chengdu, Shanghai and Accra.

What changed

The level moved. Machines absorbed the work that used to prove a leader, so the next level now sits above what any machine can do — judgment, trust, presence, and the capacity to build other people.

What did not

The pace. It was a selling point in 2012. It is the requirement now: core skills turn over faster than careers do, and development has to outrun the clock.

Next level. And beyond. At a more rapid pace.

The Machine Line

Machines moved the floor of leadership.

Below the line, competence is being commodified. Above it live the things only people do: judgment, presence, character, trust, and the development of other people. Every program we run is aimed above that line.

Below the line

Analysis, drafting, routine decision support. Work that machines now absorb at every level — and work no leader is paid to protect.

Above the line

Judgment under incomplete information. Trust that survives pressure. Vision someone can act on. The capacity to build other people.

The Record

Fourteen years.
Three continents.

Founded in St. Louis in 2012 with a faculty of sitting executives teaching beside a Ph.D. facilitator. International from 2019. Delivered without interruption through the pandemic. Completed a three-year nationwide federal contract.

It is the thread through all ten.

BE A LEADER 3.0

Ten Attributes That No Machine Can Master

The Consortium curriculum, documented. Classroom-tested, executive-taught, and carried into the age of AI. Foreword by David B. Price, Jr. Published by SKOPOS, an imprint of Truth To Power Publishing LLC.

How We Teach

A moderator, a Ph.D. facilitator, and an executive facilitator in every module
Harvard Business School and Ivey case studies as the primary method
Participants equipped, exposed, encouraged, empowered, and enabled
Cohort-based, applied, and built for intact corporate teams

Build the capabilities machines cannot master.

Every engagement is scoped to the organization in front of us. Tell us who you are developing and what has to change, and we will tell you what the work looks like.
